The author, Jeannette Liu Golubovic, is admitted to the Texas Bar.
Jeannette Liu Golubovic is licensed to practice law in Texas. She
attained a dual Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Texas
at Austin in 2002 for History and English Literature, with a minor in
physics. She was also awarded a Certificate of Business Foundations
from the UT McCombs School of Business. Ms. Golubovic earned her
Juris Doctorate from the University of TulsaCollege of Law in 2005
with a specialization in international economic and international
comparative law. In 2007 she was awarded an LL.M from the University
of Houston Law Center in Energy, Environment, & Natural Resources law.
She has many years of successful experience in immigration law, having
practiced with one of the top immigration firms in the nation as a
managing attorney of their Austin branch. She has had a 98% success
rate in a variety of immigration cases including B visas, O-1, EB1A,
EB1B, NIW, H-1, H-2, N-1, TN, L-1, J-1, F-1, K visas, I-485, and
naturalization. She has also had great success in immigration appeals
as well as writ of mandamus cases relating to immigration. Ms.
Golubovic frequently represents a variety of immigrants including
artists, dancers, engineers and architects, computer programmers, and
scientists. She is currently working as a corporate attorney for a
firm in Houston where she frequently represents corporate taxpayers
throughout their taxation examination process as well as their appeals
and even court. She has also opened her own immigration practice,
under which she is the practicing, concentrating on advancing clients’
individual immigration needs on a quality versus quantity practice.
Prior to her current positions, Ms. Golubovic took part of the
Institut Universitaire des Hautes Etudes Internationales in Geneva,
Switzerland where she was an international observer/student. She
attended delegation sessions at the United Nations, actively
interviewing dignitaries from around the world for support on the
working group sessions for the ILO’s Convention 169 Concerning rights
of indigenous populations and the Working Group’s Draft Declaration on
the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. She also attended lectures and
presentations, at the World Trade Organization in Geneva, on world
economics and trade development. Prior to that, Ms. Golubovic took
part of the Catholic University of Louvain where she was an
international observer/student, attending lectures and presentations
at the European Union, in Brussels, Belgium, dealing with EU issues in
Immigration & Asylum, Justice & Security, & Trade and Expansion.
While at the University of Tulsa College of Law, Ms. Golubovic was a
member of the Tulsa Law Review, and received the CALI Excellence for
the Future Award in Texas Civil Procedure. She served as the
President of the International Law Students’ Association and was
recognized for her service with an Award in service from the TU
International and Comparative Law Center. Ms. Golubovic also worked
as a Research Assistant for the Dean of the law school, concentrating
heavily on constitutional law issues. She also worked closely with
the Dean on publication for his text book on Law & Theology. She was
recognized for her work in the following publications:
